FRENCH FOR SPRING VALLEY MAYOR This race isn't about me, it's about all of us here in Spring Valley trying to make it a better place. I am different than the other candidates becausel like to think outside of the box. You can never know what you can do until you try. I have a lot of passion to do this job. The city chooses to invest money in buying real estate properties instead of investing it into our city streets and downtown. I feel I can be a great asset to this town as mayor because I have the equipment, the manpower, the passion, the ability, the experience and the knowledge. I do not want anything from the city. I will never bill the city for anything I do in this town, and everything will be as a volunteer. People from all walks of life agree, Spring Valley can and must do better. People are tired of vague promises. They are looking for real solutions to serious problems. As a businessman, I've always believed that the customer should know what they are getting when they come to see me. Why should politics be any different? I have a proven track record in the construction industry. When I bought my building on Route 6, it was an eyesore in the city and I made it a beautiful building. I will do more for this town as mayor than has been done in the last 10 years. We need to bring things to the community for the younger population. One of my first things as mayor will be to open up a youth center for the younger population, and to start, I will donate my salary to the youth center. We need to make this a community where the younger generation will stay and raise their families. Too many people are leaving this town because of high taxes and nothing offered in this town. We need to bring in more businesses to lower the taxes and keep the people in this town. I worked on the inside of the Grove Center for Jeff Grove, and through working with him, he has inspired me, and I want to do what he has done for the downtown in LaSalle. The mayor Cliff Banks worked for me in my business, and helped me with my storefront remodel. He was a true friend and asset to this community. He asked me to run for mayor and follow in his footsteps. I want to have a big Christmas Tree at City Hall every Christmas and have the citizens bring ornaments provided by John French and the city to put up on the tree. I want to bring the spirit back to the community and make everyone in this community feel like a part of the community. I have a drive to get things done in this town.
