About

Mental Health & Substance Abuse Services The mental health and wellness of our community is just as important to us as physical health and wellness. At St. Margaret’s, we strive to help people to live their healthiest life. That sometimes means helping people to heal and restore their hearts and minds – not just their body. To help meet these needs in our community, St. Margaret’s Center for Family Health & St. Margaret’s Center for Holistic Health & Wellness in Princeton have a dedicated team of providers who offer mental health and substance abuse services and treatment. Our team of providers includes a physician board certified in psychiatry and family medicine, two certified mental health nurse practitioners and additional clinicians, including licensed clinical social workers, licensed clinical professional counselors and behavioral health care coordinators. While our primary locations for mental health and substance abuse services are in Princeton, some of our clinicians will be embedded in our larger primary care clinics. Having clinicians in more locations will not only enhance timely access to services, but it should also improves mental health services and assists physicians in attending to the patient population in our core service areas of LaSalle, Bureau, Putnam and Marshall Counties in North Central Illinois. In Partnership with Arukah Institute of Healing Arukah, which is also located in Princeton, has partnered with St. Margaret’s to provide high-quality, community-based care and to help break down the barriers people often encounter when they try to seek help. In addition to counseling, Arukah brings a strong wellness component through complementary therapies and other approaches, which are daily activities that all people can do to stay well. Arukah Institute of Healing will be relocating to the same location as St. Margaret’s Center for Holistic Health & Wellness once renovation is completed.
